Tonight, we will spend the night with our good friends and neighbors, Jim and JoAnn Waldo because our new hardwood floor will be receiving a Swedish finish today and we will need to be out of the house for a day because of the noxious fumes created by the application process. Tomorrow, they will put on a second coat, so we will probably run up to Portland to stay at Grandpa Milo and Grandma Sarah’s house for the evening. We will be on our own because Grandpa Milo and Grandma Sarah are away on a trip to Maui and will not be back until Sunday. We only have a few more weeks before the whole project is finished, but it is really starting to take shape already. The quartz counter tops will arrive a week from today. The rest of the new appliances will arrive a week after that.
Aren’t they going to Finland too? Ummmm, I was going downstairs to do piano practice but they moved the piano to the already crowded living room and they are moving in and out of the laundry room cuz they are putting in the cabinets. It’s kinda complicated but I’ll try when they move it back.

They left some room to practice but I think that they are moving in and out of the room. Should I practice there or explain to my teacher and pracatice at Mrs. Waldo’s house?
It would be best if you got your practice in before you went to your last lesson! Try to practice if you can. If not, you can practice this evening at Mr. Waldo’s house.
I know I should practice right now but there are people putting up a screen in the other room because I think they might start putting on the finish or something. What should I do???!!!
I could practice on the little piano right here but it is hard to do that and Mrs. Hickenlooper doesn’t like me too.
They are going to sand the floor, do you think if I go and practice right now it would be all right? The people that are doing it aren’t Mr. Prescott or anybody that we know.
You can practice as long as they haven’t started putting the chemicals on the floor. As soon as they start doing that, you all need to get out of the house.
