Grandpa Milo and Grandma Sarah coming for a visit

In the morning, I got a call from Dad to tell us to pick him up at the airport tomorrow.  I remembered, when I helped him get the tickets that they were not coming until next week.  That is a great thing, but it is good they called to tell us or they would have made a needless trip to the airport.  Then, I got a call yesterday afternoon from Lorena to tell me the car’s battery was dead.  Christian was able to recharge it for her so they could go to the YMCA for their workout yesterday afternoon.  Consequently they were late getting home.  I used the free time to do some work on KamVu.  I got the website on the new server going and some more code written, but not much else last night.  Well, at least we are getting some things done.

    Good morning!
Today it is raining cats and dogs in Cali. The big local news of the day: Firemen rescued a little kitten that has been heard meowing in a storm drain the past couple of weeks. Saw the cute critter on the news this morning. We are all hunkered down for a day or two of rain.

Lots to get accomplished today plus some correcting that I have let lag since I am spending time at the hospital each day with my cousin Mary. She has been in the hospital 7 weeks for one issue that turned into many since she was not in great physical condition when she first went in (she is 77). She is now a bit confused and needs family around. We are the nearest relatives (close in proximity to the hospital) and so we try to visit daily to keep her oriented. I need to try to bring some correcting there….We would covet your prayers for Mary. Her husband Dan (80)is a sweetie and they have been married 62+ years. He is the guy who helped Emma construct from scratch a rubberband powered airplane for a jr. high science fair.

Thanks the note Ruthie. We will remember you family in our prayers. It is always difficult to see older folks who we remember as being robust as they age, but it is always a blessing to be around the faithful ones at the end.

P.S. I have not forgotten about the writing thing!
