Storms blow through

While hurricane Dean is having its way with the Yucatan peninsula, we were experiencing quite a little storm in North Carolina.  The large shade tree in our neighbors yard was split in half and blown over in the wind.  It rained some, but not enough to make for the dearth of water here in North Carolina.  Meanwhile, our household has been suffering through summer colds and sore throats.  It looks like we are getting to the end of it all now though.  Kelly had her first piano lesson with her new teacher and it looks like she is going to do well under her tutelage.  The first piece of music she brought home was Menuet by J.S. Bach.  Way cool.

Shucks!! Now you will probably be more careful in your posts! Those of us lesser educated can always take heart … no one is ever perfect! Although we think you all are nearly there!! While we have much to learn!! 🙂

Glad you are getting settled in! Know that’s always easier on everyone!! All the kids are almost set for school. Looks like Lenore will be done midterm. Can’t say I’m ready for that!

We had wonderful days of convention! and look forward to a few more meetings of convention!

Good days to you all and know you’ll enjoy your convention privileges too.

Hey Karen! Thanks for the note. We were glad to hear you had a great convention. We were sorry that we could not be there! WOW! I cannot believe the Leonore is going to be out of school already! We are all getting old! We cannot get away from those Nelsons out here. We got a nice note from Marilyn right after we got here. I think somebody must have sent her our email. Maybe we will see them at convention in Denton or Shelby in two or four weeks from now. We really miss you all. You are going to have to make your way out here some day to visit and stay with us. It would be a GREAT time! GO BEAVERS!!!!!

Hey Chapman gang…it’s been a while since I checked the blog…I’m not too swift at that…e-mail is so easy! Wish we could have touched base at convention time, but we went to Pulaski VA and then our home convention is at Demorest GA…we’re in the north GA field. Have never been to Denton and went to Shelby for about 2 years when we lived over that way, but it’s the same time as ours so those days are gone. I also got in Sunday at Saginaw II…I “returned” our little McKenzie (Mike/Mary’s) to Oregon and was there for about 4 days total…short! Wish you could venture West…that’s like in Western NC…the leaves are turning and it’s gorgeous! Got a weekend free? It’s a great hiking season…
