Christian, Kelly, and I read the chapter about smiling in How to Win Friends and Influence People. What a great concept. We tried it out on Mom (Lorena) and it worked pretty well. We are going to try it out more today. Our new laptop computer came yesterday, so we set that up in the kitchen so that Lorena can talk to her mother down in Mexico on Skype while she is working in the kitchen. We tested it out and it works great. I took the Linux computer and the desktop off the internet and moved the wireless router downstairs. This way, when people come to visit us, they can connect up to our wireless network anywhere in the house. More importantly, we will have good control over use of the internet. The computers upstairs can be used for schoolwork, but any internet access will have to take place in the kitchen. The bluetooth headset works OK, but Lorena liked to talk just using the speaker in the webcam better, so we will try to find another use for the headset. Maybe we can set it up to work with Rosetta Stone Spanish!
