Kelly drew this picture of our wonderful friend Jon the other day and put it up on Facebook. I thought it was good enough that I did not just want to put it up there, so I put it here. Jon writes a blog (a little bit sporadically, but well worth a daily visit to see if there is something new). He writes very, very well has some great pictures of Chile and Brazil.
Ken, I sure enjoy coming in here for a look from time to time. But this post took me by surprise. I thought, Hey, I know that character! I’m not that good looking though. Kelly did me up good, thanks again Kelly. I’d like to be putting more on my blog but time time time…! Your post may give me a bump though. Cheers!

Thanks Jon! I appreciate the encouragement. The reality is that I do not have a whole lot of things about which to write now that the kids are off to college. I have decide that I am going to write anyway, even when I don’t have much to say. I love this drawing of you. I tell Kelly that she needs to keep going with her drawing. Who knows what will come of it. In the meantime, people get pleasure out of the stuff she posts. It is all good.
I have been at the point in my baldness that I revel in it! It really is quite sad for me to think that some will never experience the pleasure and sheer beauty of baldness–in terms of maintenance alone it is light years ahead of every other form of coiffure! The thing that truly amazes me about the pictures is that we look enough alike to be brothers, which, in the best sense, we really are. We are glad you are in our club! Lauro, Jr. fits right in there, too.
