"In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." –John 16:33

A very cool map

Kelly and I read a blog called Wittingshire.  I had not read it for awhile because of my travels, but when I was browsing it to catch up a little, I found a link to a website that has made access to all of the places mentioned in the bible on Google Earth.  You can click on any book in the bible and a map shows up with locater dots for all the places mentioned in that book.  If you click on one of the dots, the particular chapter and verse for that spot appears.  There is also a big map that allows you to click on a spot on the map without going to the book.  It is VERY cool.  You can find it here at the Open Bible web site.

Ken, My daughter Haley spent 20 days in May Traveling The Holy places of the Bible. She was able to travel All over Israel and journey to the land where the Bible stories happened. A must see sometime in your Life.

Neil, that is VERY cool. Let’s go over there together sometime!!! I went there for work, but spent my time in Nazareth and Haifa so I did not get to see anything around Jerusalem. It is an amazing country. I would love to hear what Haley has to say about it and see her pictures. Man, to have done that at her age must have been pretty exciting.

    Ken,

I have a CD version of Haley’s photos I’ll have to get you a copy. I’m trying to get Haley to put together a Powerpoint of the photos, but we haven’t gotten it done yet. My wife Carol’s sister Johanna took Haley as she had been on it before. Haley had a great experiece and was even Baptisted in the Jordon River. It was a very special walk with God. When we can make the time it would be great to walk it with you. She went with a group lead by Dr George Wood. Very complete tour including the Greek Islands. I enjoyed seeing your link. Very Cool.

Man she did the whole deal. In the New Testament, a lot of the stuff happened in Greece, Turkey and other places. That must have been an amazing trip. If you ever get the PowerPoint done or have time to send the CD, we would love to see it. I think I am going to try to plan something over in that part of the world as a graduation present for Kelly and Christian. I was walking around with goosebumps the whole time I was there.
