Angels in Santiago, Nuevo Leon

Kelly is having a great time in her visit to Grandma Conchita’s house in Monterrey with her Friend Eliza. Her amazing uncles took them to the small, picturesque town of Santiago 15 or 20 miles out of Monterrey. The only thing that was kind of disappointing is that she tried to capture some of the glory of an iconic photograph taken in June of 2014, but I really do not think she has the fashion sense or sheer magnificent presence of the original model. See for yourself (original is inset).

Breakfast in the Raleigh area

Day 75 of 1000

We went to breakfast this morning at Cooley’s Restaurant in Fuquay-Varina.  It was OK.  We have yet to find a really good breakfast restaurant within short driving distance of our house.  Pam’s Farmhouse over by the NCSU certainly qualifies (Thanks Troy!), but it is too far away for an every Saturday visit.  We are still looking.  Our driving radius extends mostly to Fuquay-Varina and Garner, but we have had very little luck and have been here now for four years.
