Kelly came down from Seattle for a weekend of homework with Dad. She has not even been gone a year yet and it seems like it has been forever. From the time the kids entered Community College five years ago until they left home last summer we spent at least half of our weekends at the library studying. When the kids were at Wake Technical Community College, we usually went to the Hill Library at NCSU. Then, when the fabulous new Hunt Library was completed shortly after the kids entered NCSU their Junior year, we went there.
So, I have to admit I got a little nostalgic. We listened to Enya and classical music while Kelly did literature reviews and I worked on my latest programming project. I hope to be able to do it again soon, but this time maybe it will be up in Seattle.

During the first semester of the kids sophomore year at Wake Technical Community College, the whole family started going to the North Carolina State University Hill library to study on Saturdays. The picture of Kelly and I to the left was taken right about when we started going there. This a picture Kelly snapped while at work at the fabulous new NCSU Hunt Library today. As I am stuck out in Prescott without the family working through the weekend, I got a little melancholy. Lorena, the kids and I started going down to the NCSU Hill Library (the old one) when the kids started community college three and a half years. At first it was fun because we got to watch the posturing and histrionics of the college kids while Lorena, Kelly, and Christian studied and I worked on volunteer research for NCSU.
