Thanks for the push on this one, JoAnn! Here are a couple of pictures inside our new house. The fist one is of he kitchen.
The kitchen
Across from the kitchen ( in the direction everyone is looking), but in all the same open room is the “family room”. There is also, in the same open room, a breakfast table/dining area, not to be confused with the dining room which is a room all of its own.

The last picture is a view of the (mostly empty because we do not have enough furniture) living room which is next to the room where the above pictures were taken.

That is all for today. This weekend is supposed to be a three day weekend (President’s Day) which I kind of doubt I will get to take because we are coming up to an important trial run of our new product with our main customer sometime in March.
Hunter
Nice! It looks even better on the inside!
Dad
Thanks, Hunter. You need to come by and see it. How is your new baby brother?
Eric
Very nice woodwork in the living room.
I though the stove was going to have blue knobs? Maybe we just can’t see from the picture.
Dad
Great catch on the blue knobs! Who said engineers were not detail oriented? Wow. I will never challenge you to a “Where’s Waldo?” competition. We got the blue knobs, but they stick out to far on our current stove. We are saving them for when we move again. Thanks for the compliments.
Hunter
Bowen is doing great! He is very healthy.
Dad
I bet he is gaining wait like crazy, too.
Ann
It’s gorgeous! I love the kitchen. And the music room looks great too.
Didn’t you always want a house with a “music room”??
Dad
Thanks, Ann. We DID want a house with a music room, but in this case we have a couple of rooms we could choose, the living room (which is now the music room and the other 90% is empty) or the dining room (which is 100% empty now, but would be 70% empty if it were the music room). We did not have that much furniture as it was, but we threw a lot of stuff away each time we moved and so now we have several echo chambers in the house!
JoAnn
Thanks for the pictures of the house Ken! And of Lorena and the kids!!! The kitchen has the feeling of the one here so I can tell you had the same thoughts in your mind Lorena 🙂 The house looks so lovely! How fun to fill the house with things that you actually want! I am painting a bedroom…the one Jeremy uses and calls his. It is going to be tropical with sunny walls, a toucan on a perch, frond fan on the wall and roman shades with fronds. The bad news is that the kids won’t be coming to our house every other wkend as they have moved to Redmond 🙁 It was very hard for us…still is. However prayers have been answered in the way that they will be going to school with 5 kids from professing families. Elena and Luke and Levi will be watching the kids before and after school for 3 days of the school week 🙂 We will be seeing them all this wkend as we are going to Bend for 5 days!
Love from us to you!!
Dad
Thanks for the note JoAnn. Your room painting project sounds like a TON of fun. Kelly wants to do hers with wide pink and white stripes for kind of a French country look. We will have to put both the results up here on the blog! We are sorry you will not be seeing the boys so much, but it is great that they are going to be with Elena and her kids. I loved going to school with kids from meeting. They really have turned out to be some of my very best long-term friends (Plews, Joyces, Nichols). Of course, most of lived on the same block, too, so that might have had something to do with it, too. Have a great time in bend.
P.S. Whatever the question, prayer is ALWAYS the answer.

Hi Chapmans!
We enjoyed the pictures of the outside and now the inside of your house. We miss you too! Our two grandbabies are due in July…one is to Arlen and Jess and the other to Sarah and Eldon. Australia is calling us over this year, I’m afraid.

Dad
Congratulations on your new grandchildren! We hope you enjoy your visit to Australia, too.
