My plan for this weekend was to prepare and send out our taxes. That did not happen. Now I have to make time for that this week. Really, I have it ready to print out as soon as I get one more number from last years documents. I just need to pull them out and do it. Kelly did some babysitting last week and picked up some kind of a bug. Kelly was on the back end of a bad cold on the weekend, but Lorena and Christian got hit pretty hard with the same bug. We spent the weekend recovering from that. I have not been hit yet, but I am expecting it soon. In the meantime, I continue to work on the BleAx program. I have it far enough along now, that Kelly can start generating comic strip files for the restart of Betty Blonde. We are still a couple of months away from that, but we are already better off than we were before in terms of infrastructure.
There are now only three weeks left in the semester. The kids will be doing nothing but study between now and Cinco de Mayo.

Ahh Taxes… procrastination on my end as well. Hey I am looking for a cheap laptop any suggestions??
Dad
Hey Trisha. We do have some ideas. How much do you want to spend?
Ruthie
Overall, what do you think of netbooks..
Dad
Hey Ruthie, We have bought 3-4 netbooks since they first came out several years back. The kids really like them for taking notes in class, but for an old guy like me, they are pretty hard to see. We have found that it is really nice to have a full size notebook for both screen real estate and power. It is even possible to get a pretty good one for not much more than the price of a netbook. In the end, that has paid off for us.
Trisha
As little as possible 🙂
Dad
Well, what we do first is look at the Dell clearance stuff. It is usually brand new with all the warranties and stuff, but that is quite a bit cheaper. You can see that at the Dell Outlet. Here are some computers I found there. The $429 ones have 4GB of DDR RAM, a 14″ (pretty small, but better than a netbook) screen, etc. It is a pretty good buy. I have a monitor (you can get a pretty good BIG one for <$200 for video and that sort of thing) a keyboard, a speaker set, and a mouse that I plug the laptop into when I am at home. I love that setup.

Ok I will look into it. I have a desk top that is wonderful…but I am finding I need a laptop esp. the applying jobs time of year.
