The new John Deere riding mower

I have been waiting for this day for a long time. I just wish it would have come back when we had a push mower. I just hope the “fun” lasts through at least one summer.

    Mowing gets old fast.

  2. Dad

Only if the place your mowing is too big and/or has boring scenery!

  3. Kelly

No way! I’m ALWAYS gonna love mowing! Y’all just watch! 😛

  4. Hunter

    😀

  5. Dad

The reality is, Hunter, that I have been dying to get a ride on the new mower, but nobody will give me a turn. It hope it gets old for them fast! 😉

  6. Hunter

    It will. Don’t worry.

  7. Hunter

All you need is an airplane!

  8. Kelly

    No it won’t!!!!!!!! 😀

  9. Hunter

    A rocket maybe? 😉

    Ken!
Now… this hurts me as much as it does you, and you know I love you like a brother… but…
YOU need to be pushing the riding mower!! 😉

  11. Dad

Exactly!!!! I moved all the way across the country so no one would notice I now have riding mower when I really should get a non-motorized push mower!

Like old farmer down the road said, “I’ll bet you spent a lot of money on that green paint.” For you city folk it’s sort of a Ford Vs. Chevy comment.

  13. Dad

Eric, you know I am a city boy. I did not even know that was a fight that I needed to be in. You can really tell that I am a city boy. Christian is 12 and he is just starting to mow the lawn. I think you had Conrad doing at age 3!!! I am sure he has graduated to real tractors and now Truman is driving the mower!

Oh, my, my!!! How wonderfully fun!! At least for now!! But I can assure you Ken that you will get your turn and this is from someone who knows!! We were kids when dad finally got a rider!! It was fun at first and soon became the chore it really was! But to be fair we probably enjoyed it more than weeding the garden and washing dishes!

    Now for Jay’s comments!!

You are a traitor – those are fightin’ colors!! I can’t believe you went for the Duck instead of the Beaver (Kubota)! (Eric’s analogy’s a good one but you can tell he’s not an Oregonian!!)

  15. Dad

Thanks, Karen! Jay — that is exactly what Kelly and Christian said. “We hope no one in Oregon sees us on this!”
