Life seems to be a little bit of a grind right now. We have to finish a bunch of stuff we have been working on for a long time and there is never enough time to do it all. I am looking at my list of stuff that we have to finish before we can go on to anything new as I write this post and thinking about the projects we have ahead of us and how we can make time to do them. This weekend we emptied the living room of boxes. We read some more in both Financial Peace and the Fallacy Detective. We should be caught up on the homeschool work, including Kelly’s finishing of Rosetta Stone Spanish I by the end of this week. We have not yet started on organizing the garage and finishing the cat tower. We have two or three weeks of finishing stuff before we can start anything new. We know that it will be much more satisfying if we can finish well the things we have started, but it will be nice to move on to some new and interesting things.

Dad
Christian. That looks great, but it is VERY handy to have a stopwatch. Why don’t we see if we can find one that has all the stuff on this watch plus a stopwatch, even if it costs a little bit more.

whatabout this?

all casios are supposed to be ‘splashresistant’ Its not much more expensive because of the sale, but look at the list price! you save like %60!
christian
its the most expensive of all the databanks, though. d:

Hey Dad, for educational stuff for Ethne, she could help me in the research for my report and we could work on it together? And we are probably gonna go to the aquarium right? That’s educational. How about we bring a photo album and put together a little book of all the things that she did! Or something like that. . .:)
Dad
That sounds like a great idea Kelly. If you check in the sent items directory of our regular email, you will see an email I sent to the Larsons with a list of the places we can visit. It is a lot bigger than I thought I might be!

HA!!!
Dad
Well, if it is in Wikipedia it MUST be true, but what about this. If I did not know that Wikipedia HAS to be right because ANYBODY can edit it at any time, I would believe the other guy!

Well what about the equations?
1/3 = 0.333…
(1/3)3 = 0.999…
(1/3)3 = 1.0
A flaw in the base ten system!
even an infinite stream of 3s after a zero would just approach 1/3.
But still,
x=0.999…
10x=9.999…
10x-x=9
9x=9
x=1
10x forces you to add a zero to the end of an infinite stream of nines! Is this possible?
Christian
I’ll try it out on my calculator watch 😉
