Our bible study was great last night. Not very many people showed up, but there were more than I expected. Our neighbors Hank and Sue were there. We are very sorry that they are going to move away from here in the next month or so. The people who bought their place own a Tom’s Garden Store in Albany. We have heard they have two childern in their teens. Everyone seems to think they are very nice people. Maybe we can get some help dealing with all the clover in our yard.
The kids did a super job on their homeshcool work yesterday. Christian did extra Easy Grammar, Singapore Math, and Cursive. I have decided that I am not going to try to get them any further ahead. We are on schedule to finish around the end of May even if we take off another week for spring break. I doubt we will have to go into June to finish everything, but even if we do, it doesn’t matter that much because Lorena’s math final will not be until the second week in June. As soon as they have finished their math program or their grammar program (whichever comes first), I am going to let them start back in on Mavis Beacon Typing. I do not think it will be so easy for them to do that while they are in Mexico, so we need a little bit of a jump on it.
Our little company Quality Corners had their most profitable month ever. We are excited that this might give us a few more options in terms of work and how we can do the homeschool. If it continues to go well and I can find a secondary source of income by writing some software or doing some consulting. I really do not want Lorena to go to school for more than one class per term because it is so important for her to be home with the kids until they are off to college, but maybe I could get an office somewhere where I could work on my program while the kids go there with me during part of the day to work on their homeschool. That would give Lorena some relief and allow her to do the shopping on her own and work in the house at least part of the time without getting bothered by distractions.
