The People of the Lie is a book that has had a pretty big impact on my life. It is a book the mother of a friend recommended I read when I was in college. I think she recommended it to me to help me understand why some people act the way they do and to understand the nature of evil. Well, to understand at least one kind of evil. It is a book that is easy to understand, but hard to read because the truths in it are hard and some of the evil that is described there resides in all of us. I just bought two copies of the book to send to our kids.
I plan to read it again myself. I am certainly not immune to the evil described in this book. I recommend it very highly (the book, not the evil).
