Thanks for the kick, Ken! I do enjoy good journalism, and his first paragraph was enough for me, wowing my wordy’s whim with “…the New York Times’s recent coverage of the city, most of which couldn’t be more fawning if it were bylined by Bambi.” Hahaha!
I really laughed when I read the article. He writes well and captures Portland in a way that really resonates with our family. We love Portland in spite of all its pretensions.
