Working on the yard

Yard work looks like it is going to be my lot in life for the next month or so. I have to get everything into shape around the house while the weather is good before I can spend too much more time on homeschool preparation. Here is what I have to do:

  • Spray the lawn for clover and other weeds.
  • Spray the lawn for ticks, grubs, and other bugs.
  • Get rid of all the weeds in the unimproved part of our lot.
  • Move the dirt mound beside the driveway over to the low areas between the sidewalk and the street curb.
  • Bring in additional dirt to fill in the remaining low areas.
  • Dig holes and plant 18 trees in the area between the sidewalk and the curb and inside the electrical services from the street.
  • Dig a buffer area between the sidewalk and the yard where we will put barkdust and flowers.
  • Help Grandpa Milo and Cayatano put in the exposed aggregate part of the back patio.
  • Help Grandpa Milo and Cayatano put in a cedar fence along the back of the property and the new patio.
